The lecture will be presented by Donald L. Fennimore\, curator emeritus and author of David Rittenhouse: Philosopher-Mechanick of Colonial Philadelphia and His Famous Clocks. The book addresses the life and work of Rittenhouse and includes illustrations of timepieces not previously seen\, including orreries\, telescopes\, surveying compasses\, and other scientific equipment.
